Dr. John Moneyhun

Dr. Moneyhun was born and raised in Greenwood! He has always enjoyed helping others and working with his hands, but it wasn’t until he shadowed a nearby dentist during one fateful summer vacation that he realized being a dentist would be a perfect fit!

After completing his undergraduate degree at the University of Tennessee, Dr. Moneyhun chose to pursue his Doctor of Dental Medicine at MUSC. During his time there, he was given the South Carolina Dental Association award for outstanding clinical abilities and scholastic accomplishments, which is a testament to his natural talent and state-of-the-art education. To this day, he continues to prioritize advanced training through world-renowned institutes, like the Dawson Academy, so he can continue to be a top-rated dentist near you.

While Dr. Moneyhun’s extensive training and clinical abilities are certainly exceptional, what truly makes him one-of-a-kind is his passion for helping others. In addition to serving patients inside our office walls, he volunteers at the Greenville Free Medical Clinic. Plus, he is a proud member of the Academy of Operative Dentistry!

When he isn’t helping patients improve the look and function of their smiles, Dr. Moneyhun’s favorite thing to do is spend time with his wife, their son, and their Black Lab. However, you can also find him playing golf, working in his vegetable garden, fishing, and playing tennis – just about anything that lets him be active and outdoors!
